Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy Scientific Assistant Posts:
Age limit:
Contenders above 30 years of age are not eligible to apply for this post. Contender’s age should be up to 30 years only.
Educational Qualification:
- Contender must hold B.Sc degree in Electronics/Chemistry/Oceanography/Physics.
- Contenders must hold two years of experience in metals, alloys, rubber metals, etc., along with the degree.
- Contenders must hold two years of experience in machinery noise, analysis, reduction techniques, and vibration movements.
- Contenders should also have experience in chemical analysis of oils/lubricants/water etc.
Selection process:
Candidates will be selected after passing the two stages.
- Under the first stage, candidates have to give a written exam.
- Under the second stage, verification of documents should be done of those candidates whose name appears in the Merit List.

Indian Navy Recruitment Exam Syllabus:
Science and Technology (20 marks): – Newton’s law of motion, mass, density, gravity, force, work, energy, frictional force, strength, reflection and refraction, sound wave, current, voltage, Archimedes principle, weight, etc.
General English (10 marks): – questions based on the passage, verb, pronoun, and preposition, punctuation, one-word substitution, correction of sentence, change to passive and active voice, tense, adjective, substituting phrasal words for expression.
Awareness related to the work area (50 marks): – Questions will be asked related to your graduation and experience.
Numerical Aptitude (10 Marks): – General Mathematics, Quadratic Equations, Use of Log Table, Average, Percentage, Ratio, and Proportion, To find the area and volume of cylinders, etc., vector and scalar zodiac, algebraic questions of vector zodiac, all types of vector, mean, median, mode, Parabola, Hyperbola, Area of Uncertainty, Pyramid, Con, etc.
General Awareness (10 marks): – Geography, economics, politics, Current affairs, sports, history, literature, questions related to military force, countries and their currencies, national heritage, etc
